Sketching out a cartoon. Prepare.

I heard a great quote the other day, and for the life of me, I cannot find who said it or what the exact wording was. (If I do later, I’ll be sure to put a link in the comments).

If you don’t mind a paraphrased version, it said essentially this:

As an artist, you don’t need to believe in yourself all the time. There will be plenty of times where you don’t believe in yourself at all.

But, if you focus on doing the next best step, by sticking to the process, you will give yourself proof of progress.

And in that proof is where you will find all the self confidence you’ll need.

That is where you will find belief.

Although this was written for artists, but I’m sure everyone of us can find some placement for these words in our own lives too.

Gosh that was deep. I blame the 430pm coffee.
